Co-created by writer Fred Van Lente and artist RyanDunlavey in 2003, Action Philosophers has become the comic-authoring duo's signature project, blending low-brow humor with the comic medium's power to educate and entertain. The series was honored with a 2004 Xeric Grant and a 2007 American Library Association award and has enjoyed an evergreen popularity remaining in print ever since its 2005 debut. It has been translated into 10 languages (and counting), was adapted for the stage by Crystal Skillman and is used as an educational text in universities and secondary schools around the globe.
